Has anyone used this product?

I've been looking into treating a walk-in closet I have (about 5x5) and using it for a vocal/guitar booth. I saw THIS on eBay but I'm not too sure about it. Has anyone used this stuff or heard anything objective about them. I was planning on hanging this stuff on at least 3 of the walls and maybe putting some foam in spots over that. This will mainly be used for vocals and the ocasional guitar.

That won't do squat for soundproofing; if you just want BETTER sound, the cheapest/easiest way is just push the clothes aside (but leave them in the closet) and DO it.

The ONLY thing that will actually make a serious difference in ISOLATION is MASS - like gypsum wallboard layers, MDF layers, etc - if it's not HEAVY, it won't do much. This includes the door; without a solid, thick door and good SEALS, you'll get sound leakage.

Right... I actually never said I was looking to isolate it. Just treat the room so it didn't sound like an echoey closet.

Dont know how much that stuff goes for, but i wouldnt think it will do too much. In fact it aint a kick in the hole off moving blankets i should imagine.

Right, I just wanted to dispel the lies about the stuff you linked - just in case you WERE interested in isolation...

I'd try just moving the clothes aside first, see how you like it; then if you're still not happy, find some rigid fiberglass or mineral wool and DIY a corner trap or two, maybe more of the absorbent on the closet ceiling - the "box" sound is usually due to UNEVEN absorption, so you need to absorb to a lower frequency than carpet or clothes will do... I bought the exact same product in the early stages of my studio. It will knock down a little off the high end but that's about it.

And they're not even big enough to cover up with on a cold night...

Also, consider that closets can become quite warm and stuffy in no time.

Put some 703 up in the corners and at least one of the parallel walls. That should tighten things up pretty good.
