Has anyone used the Rme adi products?

I found a classified ad for an adi-96, and it looked quite convenient with 2 mic pres, a/d conversion (which i hear is very good), compressor, de-esser etc. all in one unit. I'm new to home recording, so specs don't tell me that much. Are the pres good? I will be getting a pair of gefell mics, which i believe don't have the hottest signal. Maybe 50db gain is a bit low?
Right now i have an echo card, a dmp3 mic pre and a compressor coming in the mail. Selling that equipment and getting a mini-me or a similar mobile solution (fitting in my laptop bag) is tempting. Any ideas?

I had it briefly, but mostly just long enough to check out all the dsp thingies' before turning it back in for the adi-8's. Sorry.
Might try at the RME forum too.
