I have one in my rack....Its a rack filler..It would be ok for -10 as it has no headroom at +4..looks cool though..If I was gonna buy one {and I did:confused: }I wouldn't pay more than say 200.00 or 250.00 at the most..

I have 5 of them and I disagree with Henri I have never had a headroom issue with mine. I wonder if he's got a bad one.

If you go to:

You can hear what a VTP-1 sounds like. All the drums, guitars, and bass were recorded through a VTP-1.

If they work for Tom..It is possible I have a bad one ..It had to go back to Utah once since I've had it because it gave up the ghost..don't know about the previous owner..

One of the other problems I've seen with this unit is that the manual is terrible, worse than terrible. In the section where it "explains" how to set up the PRE and POST gains it is totally backwards. If you set it up according to the manual, you will clip on every transient.

I have five of these units because nobody takes them seriously, they do after all say DIGITECH on them :D. I was able to pick them up for pennies on the dollar.

I see them on eBay a lot and always wondered how they sounded.
