Bought an Eventide Harmonizer pedal and took it away to the beach a month ago with my SG and laptop. Did a bit of recording then took it home and stitched this tune together.

I quite like the pedal and the sounds it makes. Haven't put bass on this yet so you can hear its pitchshifting chops. Anyway see what you think.

Haha this is a fun tune. Very demonic. Harmonically - gets repetetive and somewhat uncreative for a stretch about a quarter of the way in. In doing a tune like this I think you need to keep it fresh and crazy throughout - and you succeed for the most part.

Good guitar sounds and good layering throughout IMO. The drums don't live up to the insanity of the guits. Could use more exotic drums IMO - splashes, chinas, timbales - whatever.

Interesting stuff.

Wow, those guitars sound pretty damn good. It does seem a little lengthy for the amount of variation, but you get some really good sounds. I have a Boss HR-2 Harmonist and it's a fun toy, but I've only actually used it in something once for about 5 seconds. Gotta say, the clean guitars that come in at the end are almost a relief after all that intense modulation and bit crushing.

The room sound on the drums doesn't fit the rest of the tune. However, smack some reverb on 'em, and you're home. I know, it's bad advice. But there's a mismatch between the drums and the highly-processed and mixed other stuff.

Good sounds. It'll be hard getting a bass to sit in some of those sports now though.
Sounds like you had fun.

Love it. Still plenty of room for bass and vocals if you wanted...

This is in the same family of crazy guitar tones I've heard from you all along, but with added twists and turns.

I really like your drum sounds as always, but maybe as noted above you could do more to get them to blend with the other elements? I dunno, sounds pretty cool to me as is. :thumbs up:

Hey thanks a lot for the feedback. The drums were done prior to the guitars to have something to play along with, and yes they'll need to be redone if this is going to be a 'proper' verse chorus bridge type of tune. As it stands it's too long - I was actually going to ask which bits people thought I should chop out so thanks for the pointer there

Yeah I'm still on honeymoon with the thing. It just seems like you plug it in, pick a preset, then just touch a string and something cool happens. Haven't had a toy like this for a while. Cheers for the spin

Yeah I normally mic the amp up in the same room as the drums so they share the same sonic footprint but these guitars are just DI'd through some effects on the Toneport. I rarely if ever put reverb on anything because I just can't drive it. I start off with a 'drum room' preset and before I know it I'm in a cavern somewhere on the moon.

Had a great time Ray. Come back from the surf, cold beer in the sun, then a jam with the harmonizer. Doesn't get much better on a summer afternoon

Thanks for the listen HM. Is that you offering to do a vocal? If it is the answer is yes please!

Wow... that's pretty insane! Sounds like fun... must check one of those beasts out myself... :thumbs up:

yeah man, I love your sounds and the way you pan things, always reach for the headphones when I listen to your stuff! Cool effect, sounds like it will inspire some great songs/music....kinda had a warped peter gunn vibe at times ...the warbley thing at 3:40 is great!

Haha, wow. Very wild. You can get some seriously spazzo sounds with that pedal. I don't miss bass in it at all. Hell, leave it as is. Nice stuff.

Lots of spacey stuff - but then I always said you have something new and exciting going on when you post a tune. That side to side stuff (around :40) is out of time and I would either line it up or slash it! :D:D:D:D
