Dogman thanks for the positive comments and the listen.
Toki987 I know what your saying about the drums. This guy had tape and muffler rings all over his kit. I managed to talk him out of the rings but the rest of the dampening materials stayed. For this reason there is very little decay/resonance on the drums and they tracked alot darker. Thanks for listening.

I think you made this band sound better than they really do.
That is debatable but I do know that it has been A LOT of work. If nothing else, they have made me a little better than I was before. haha
Thanks for your comments.

You might be right. I need to burn a test mix and take a few listens in my usual enviroments. Thanks for the suggestion and the comments.

The snare is a litte tricky. His hits are pretty inconsistent (im sure you know this by now ) so I ended up with more bleed from the hats and other stuff than I would normally deem acceptable. The more I compress the more this stuff jumps up with the snare. I could go in and edit the bad hits but there are literally more bad than good and I think at this stage it works for their purposes. If the drum track wasn't already so sloppy I might be a little more inclined to work some magic on it.
Guitars are well nice. :jealous: !
We used some early 90s piece of crap Peavey 2x12 combo with a Sm57. I had to convince the guitarist that his decade old Digitech pedal just was not going to cut it. Once that took place I was able to start the daunting task of getting a usable tone out of the amp. I think it turned out pretty good considering what it was.
I dont like the kick drum though
Partially my fault. I got rushed and was trying to work around this guys bazillion cymbal stands. I didn't get him to remove his front head so I ended up with not so good placement in an already bad sounding kick drum. Overall it was just poor judgement on my part.
thanks for the comments and the listen.
