I hope you got a double-braced heavy-duty throne for your fat ass. :laughings:

A friend of mine gave me a Yamaha setup similar to that, I think it was $10, and I was surprised at how good it was.

The pads were velocity sensitive and the MIDI out worked fine for recording into Cubase. Those things are a bargain as far as pads go.

All that was missing on the one I had was pedal inputs for kick and hihat.

 I actually have this thing too! It's what I started messing around with.

I don't know exactly what's wrong with my pedals, over the last few years they've been kind of selective as to when they decide to work or not. But it's a cool little device, well worth the money.

The kick pedals a bit of a joke, but that's ok, so's my drumming.:D

What are those lights and buttons for? :p
I have no idea. No manual and the drum guy at the pawnshop didn't want to sell it yet. But The new "Young Master" is all about money and I had cash.:laughings: But I'll find out. Google is a wonderful thing!:D

You might be able to plug a good kick trigger in there and get more realism. If you have a decent kick pedal it's not that hard to make a kick trigger.

I've had pretty good luck finding pdf manual downloads for Yamaha stuff.

It looks like what someone in the 1950s thought 21st century electric cookers would look like !

Looks way snazzier than my "kit". I have a toy electronic drum kit made by Kawasaki. I got them for a few bucks at a thrift shop. I disconnected the built-in speaker and replaced it with an old guitar's 1/4" jack. I plug it into my digitech RP300, because I need compression and noise gate on this thing to make it sound less shitty. I'm thinking I should splurge and spoil myself with a pair of $5 drumsticks from walmart.

Boy, this sucker is a little tricky. Gonna have to rethink the recliner idea.

I"m picking up a 6 piece CB kit today that comes with 5 Cymbals and stands for $125 .... I"m going to add it to my Tama Swingstar kit that I play at home so i"ll have a huge 11 piece kit with uber cymbals ......

now I just need an elevated drum stage that rotates 360 degrees !!! :D

PICS! We need pics!!:p

I picked up one of those DD-50s at the Salvation Army for $25.00 with a Ludwig snare stand. I sold the stand to a drummer for $40.00, and started tinkering with the drums since I could use headphones and nobody would hear me screwing around.

Both the DD50 and the DD55 work well for MIDI, though I hear the newest model (DD65?) has trouble triggering from the hi hat pad.
