How do you record something like that? Mic? Sounds like vinyl it has such a great sound.... Unquestionably cool! :D

Thanks! Te mic is a german Schoeps. But nothing special in case of recording-gear. The main thing is, that everything is played by hand= no samplings,
this makes the vinyl-sound (personal touch). Percussion is done on a big size framedrum (doubled=playing twice).
Reverb is Lexicon Phanteon. Recorded on "cool edit pro" (10 years old)

It's a cool solo for what sounds like some kind of wind instrument, but I can't hear the depth of the drums much. Just sounds like it could be some kind of plastic beaters or something.

plastic beaters
Vinyl is a matter of plastic :D
It's not an accident. It's a certain technique on the Framedrum to bring out highs and lows only,
so that the mid frequencies are free for the solo-instrument. It's more like a bassy sounding shaker.

Yeah, I guess I would of liked to heard less of the plastic beaters lol :D
