Hi brothers
What is your opinions in RME Hammerfall DSP 9632 pci audio interface ?
I need it for vocals only and one track at all but I want the best and clearest vocal recording ....
Anyway I have rode k2 tube mic plus Presonus Eureka channel strip .
Will these things work well together ?
How is RME AD converters ?

My best regards

Yes, it is everything they claim it is. I own the HDSP 9652 and absolutely love it. The A/D sounds crystal clear. They (the 9652 and 9632) probably have the same gutts, but a different number of channels.

I couldn't tell much difference at first after upgrading from a cheaper interface. But since I've treated my studio room and started using better mics and pres, I now notice its clarity. It shines with everything I put through it. I've had it for 6 years with ZERO problems or complaints. I couldn't be happier with it.

EDIT: They've also made an upgraded firmware available to make it work with 64 bit operating systems. I now use mine with Win 7 on a quad core.

please , Another one question ... Do I have to purchase this balanced breakout cable to use it with Presonus Eureka ?
I think there is no xlr or trs inputs in the cables which come with the card , isn't it ?

Yes, you are correct. You will need that breakout cable. Balanced cable uses 3 conductors, unbalanced only uses 2. They are not interchangeable without using adapters and transformers.

A Balanced connection will filter out unwanted radio interference (buzzing) that can occur when running cables a long distance, perhaps more than 10 or 20 meters. With short cable runs, radio interference is rarely a problem. Therefore, with cables of only 1 or 2 meters, no difference would be noticed between balanced and unbalanced signal quality. However, you will need the breakout cable to match the signal type and sensitivity of the Presonus.
