My new CD's are ready! I spent some time remixing and had them mastered and packaged up at Kunaki.
I know it's unusual for someone to post multiple CD's. I had a lot of them mastered individually so that took a long time. Then some artwork and etc etc. Anyway you can pick 1,2 or all 3 to purchase and enjoy.

iTunes and other sites will be coming online soon...

Lot's of people to thank for all their help and advice:
Mike Hamilton (mjhamil) - bass player, co-writer, best friend!
Jason Jones - (poeticintensity) - drummer - Advanced Budget Studios : Utah Recording Studio - Best value in audio recording
David Kempers - (DavidK) - keyboards
Jan Ohlhorst - (karumba) - mastering engineer - fine mastering
All the guys here who gave me advice on recording and mixing (way too many to mention but especially rayc, Greg_L and DavidK)

I still have to figure out where to put downloads. Hopefully it won't take as long as these CD's lol...

I've set up an account at CDBABY and uploaded Hamilton Steele I. I'm just using it for downloads and digital distribution. I have a few questions ...:
How long does it usually take for mp3 downloads to be available on CdBaby's site?
I chose the digital distribution like iTunes etc - how long does it really take before they are available on iTunes and Amazon etc? And how will I know - do they send you an email to let you know the tunes are uploaded?
Did anyone choose that AllMedia/MicroSync option were they licence your stuff? I'm not registered to BMI or ASCAP or SOCAN - should I be and why?

Check your "dashboard" at CDBaby daily to see updates on where your stuff has been distributed. Some places take it right away, some - like iTunes - can take weeks and weeks.

Ok - nothing has been distributed so far. I'm impatient because Soundclick is instant lol...

No iTunes and Amazon but they do 99cent download sales of their own though.

Right, I see. The beauty of being on iTunes or amazon or whatever is big is that people are familiar and comfortable with it. No, they'll probably never stumble onto you, but the chance is better there and you can be linked to other "sounds like" stuff.

You DEFINITELY should be registered with a PRO. Someone bought one of my tunes and used it for something else and i got $50!!! Through BMI.

Make sure all your songs and cd's are registered with a copyright clearinghouse. Do canadiens use the US Copyright office to register? I know one other canadian lady who does. Don't know if it is commn to do so or if you have your own.
