Like Yeah!
Because it is a VST you have to be triggering the sounds via a controller (or drawing notes in or transport keyboard). Probably a MIDI device like a keyboard, not a guitar. Use audio tracks to record your guitar.

sorry i am new...to recording and all the lingo and everything.....just reading ....everything is very foreign...to do and ask questions has been helping me all my life...so ill continue doing so....
so i have to record a track and apply the hallion thru midi.....im confused...
