Half done - any comments?

Am I listening to the right song? They must have been pretty good Radio Shack mics! The guitars have a fair bit of low end, I didn't really notice the lack of bass on my computr speakers (with a sub). You've done a good job of this.

The guitars still have a lot of lowend - once the bass is added, I will drop some of the low end.

The 4 track and Radio Shack mics was a bit of a joke - :D

Thanks for the critique!

This was done with 4 track a porta studio and 2 radio shack mics - it's not done, and has no bass (damn bass player quit the band) -

Any comments?

I'm only leaving this up for a couple hours......
Those damn bass players!

Oh.... Hey Gunnar, if they want, I can do something later this week. I am finishing up some collabs with my friend while he's available, but I have a clean slate by Thursday evening...

That's pretty damn impressive for radio shack mics and a 4-track. Good vocals!

Oh good! I'm sitting here looking at your site while the song was downloading and am thinking "he has all this cool gear, why is he using a 4 track and radio shack mics?".... Then I hear the song and am like "well, either he's joking about the radio shack mics or I must REALLY suck"...

But yeah, I like the mix.

I think the customers did this at home and brought it in for him to mix...

I was kidding about the fourtrack - see my second post. :)

Thanks for the offer Rokket, but I have ten songs I am doing, and they are going to find a new bass player (or the guitar player is going to do it - I just need to find a five string)

Thnaks again!

They'll be happy to know...

it scared the dog under the bed. ;)

And when I use my Radio Shack mics on my 4 track it doesn't sound that clean.

That's why I said that!! I hear these guys with NO GEAR making better sounding recordings all the time, and it makes me feel like I really suck! (which I do - LOL :D )

My five string is all tuned up, just redid the intonation and brand new strings. If you change your mind, you know how to reach me! :D

what was the set up for micing the gutars.
Nice job BTW, probably the best thing ive heard from you to date.

None - Line out of a Fender Digital Head into a Peavey VMP-2 - I want to mic up a cab, I think it will sound a lot better. This is only half done, the guitars are just the raw tracks panned hard L/R - (It's a 7 string)
