Tried recording, well, what else, Grand Piano.
It seems like I really have to cut the bass frequencies on it other wise, I get a painful "thump" on the bass notes. When I cut the bass, it lacks definition, and the highs end up sounding kind of "tin-ny." I tried using it in Bi-Polar (i.e. Fig. 8) mode with the bottom attenuator set to V1, and the mic set at the bend in the grand, about 12" above the rim. Then I tried moving the mic inside, about 18" above the harp, with the same, less than desireable results. I'm lost! I don't know how to use this mic, in this application. Does anyone have ANY suggestions?
