(the sound of hand slapping forehead) Errr....sorry...no :p :D

Come on, it'll be fun

Think about it. You can play your music on YOUR ringtones.

How are you doing that? Is there a specific file format? and how do you tranfer them? A link will do. Thanks!

that's a good idea!

mshea you doing midi ringtones or mp3? i guess since you mentioned pyro it must be mp3.

i've got a treo 650. i think it accepts both. i'm going to try that tomorrow.

damn, i was just about to say how much i liked cakewalk pyro... but now i can't.

seriously though, does anyone know if pyro5 will do re-writable DVD data the way that Roxio did/does turn your CD-rw into a virtual windows drive?

a uk friend of mine said that they had a ringtone category at last years british grammys (whatever their version of the grammy's is called).

Depends what age you are ;) :)

And our version of the Grammys are called "The Brit Awards" ;)

RINGTONE CATEGORY FOR THE BRIT AWARDS!!! I'm ON IT!!!!! :D

Hey cross, why don't you like Pyro anymore? It's cheap, it's easy and now you can actually SEE the audio on CDs you burn and better get your levels right. I'm a complete engineering moron and no matter how hard i try every single darn track is at a different level so that is wonderful. I can sound professional even though i'm NOT. HA HA :D

Hey, mshea. You never answered Cross' questions.

My daughter wants me to make a ring tone for her. So what's the format? And how do you get it loaded into the phone?

Same questions.
1. What's the format?
2. How to load it on the cellphone?

Regarding how to transfer files to/from PC, you can use either specific cable connection, bluetooth, infrared, etc. You need to read your phone's manual...

I guess any cellphone now accept both MIDI and mp3 version (or even wav) for ringtone.

But I'm not sure which will qualify Brit Award...

:D :D :D

Welcome back, Jaymz! :D

I'll check the manual (RTFM). Do you know if there is a length/size restriction?

I have used Pyro 2003, and now use Pyro 2004...I originally got the program to record/transfer songs from cassette to the computer (then to CD)...It has now become the closest thing I have to a mastering program (In Pyro 2004 you can set volume levels, EQ, and add effects to each individual song, line your songs up visually, tweak the volume levels (before burning to CD) and also do fade in/outs and crossfades between songs. I assume that Pyro 5 has retained these features while adding the ringtone feature.
