Even better haha.

In actuality though I don't think I would want to play a guitar with strings tensioned all weird though so I think I would want to tune it then engage the auto tune feature.

I'm also interested in hearing how it sounds through an amp. I dig the concept though.

I've said it before... you guys are hilarious. Gibson's Robot guitar gets roundly trashed here, but we all go ga-ga from this one from Peavey. :laughings:

But really, that thing looks cool. Now if only Peavey was still making stuff in Mississippi, not China...:cursing:

Greg - if anyone gives you one, I'll pay the shipping, you can send it to me!

I agree regarding tuning this autotune guitar - get it correct to start with, but then if it goes out during a song, it's self-correcting. This has happened to me when recording (typically when I'm trying to get a little more lifespan from some old strings).

The Gibson robot is fucking over priced and IIRC it didn't work first run around like it should.

We are talking $500 here.

I'm not watching the vid. Someone explain to me how this guitar autotunes.

Wow, that's actually pretty impressive. It doesn't sound half bad, either.

Damn, I was hoping it had little servo motors on the machine heads or something.

There is/was a guitar like that. Not sure how well it worked, but you could push a button to do an alternate tuning, etc.

If they mounted the circuit in a pedal instead of a Chinese guitar made from old shipping pallets it might be a handy little gadget to have.

It might require a hexaphonic pickup.

ALL Gibsons are over priced! Why should the Robot be any different?

Yeah I have no idea. Gibson has been doing the DURR thing for a few years now with such fabulous pieces like the dusk tiger and the reverse bodied flying V.

They need to go back to solid pieces of wood with a long slim piece of wood attached. Chambered bodies and all this other digital shit is stupid.
