Does anyone use a midi keyboard/synth with guitar tracks pro 3?

I've tried a few things but it never works in that program while it's working in other programs. I've heard (from unrelible sources) that GTP3 isn't built at all for keyboards

I love the setup I have going with GTP3 so I don't want to change programs.

& Long live the 70s rock synth! (I have a feeling I may get flamed for that comment)

GT3 is audio only and won't record midi although it will send midi instructions to allow you to use control surfaces etc.

If you want to record the keyboard, plug it into an amp and mic it

Hey thanks for info. My synth is just a midi controller so it doesn't actually produce any sound without a program. It probably wouldn't be too hard to just record the synth track in another program and then just import it into GT3. I think I'll try that next...

I use GPro3 as well and found the best way to import midi sounds is to do just that. I use Reason 2.0 for my midi stuff, so I bring that up on monitor two and Gpro3 on monitor one. I play the track in gpro3 and play along in reason while recording onto its sequencer. Then I export either as loop or song as an audio file. Then import to gpro3, sink it up , groove clip if needed and were off. Took me awhile to figure that out and I still havent mastered getting drum beats to sink up and groove clip right all the time, but it works great for general keyboard sounds. Thats the only drawback to Gpro3 that I can see. I wish you could just pipe in the midi stuff but I guess thats one difference between $150 and $500!!!
