Guitar to Bass Modeling

Hi Everyone,
I've searched the threads and come up with partial answers - so let me be very specific. Is there a software package (Guitar Rig, Amplitube etc.) that will let me record (play) guitar basslines and then let me model them as real basslines? Kind of an Octavia effect? In essence - I have everything to record a track except a Bass. Any help would be great!!!

To my knowledsge, no. Not exactly. The easiest thing to do would be to use an octave effect and apply that to you guitar "bass lines". I've never heard of a plug in that will do what you are after.
 
guitar rig has a whammy pedal emulation that allows you to drop a signal down 1 or even 2 octaves

i haven't actually used it, because i have the real thing...but i can tell you that the octave shift on the real deal isn't going to cut it for doing basslines
