Guitar Recording

Hey guys ive just started using Overloud's TH-1 guitar simulator and it sounds great but im having a few problems with recording the sound. Im currently using Adobe Audition and everytime i play something with an effect through Overloud ie distortion, when i play it back it doesnt seem to register it at all, and the recording is just a normal clean guitar sound. Any ideas? or even suggestions of a beter peice of software i could use?

Where is the TH-1 in the sound chain? It appears its on the output side, and Audition is recording the DI (direct in).

Thats my guess to, i just dont know how to make Adobe focus on the output now
