guitar from freaky friday?

Hi, Does anybody know the name of that cool looking blue guitar in the movie "freaky friday"? thanks...
 
it's not that guitar. You know the one towards the end of the movie when they're playing at the wedding. It's kinda shaped like a les paul and the knobs are aligned in a straight line. Do you know about that guitar?

if it's the guitar from the cover of the movie, i belive it's a fender telesonic. i also belive that they are no longer made.
 
The guitar on the cover (also on the web site) is indeed a Fender Telesonic...

BUT they *DO* still make them... I just bought one a few months back.

GRRRREAT guitar.

what do you think of that guitar? my friend had one for a while and i guess he didn't like it at the time and sold it, but now he really misses it.

i think it's the coolest looking tele. if i ever get a tele, i think it'll probably be a telesonic...well after hearing more about them.
 
Looked like Fender had a liscensing deal in the movie, so it might have been one of those new gibson-esque models they put out last year

I love my telesonic... I use it and a PRS Hollowbody I pretty much exclusively for my live and studio gigs.

The telesonic is a unique sound, because its like a cross of a tele and an older gretch etc.

My only complaint is that the pickups are noisy, but they are cool sounding none the less.

I play it through a Vox AC-15 and a Fender Deluxe.

The blue guitar played by maddie (christina vidal) at the end of the movie is a Yamaha AES720/AES920 ... it is nothing to do with the telesonic which was played by another character and was not BLUE lol

Lol ... i really liked the guitar but could never be bothered to look ... i found it in a shop the other day so thought i'd post the answer lol
