guitar center/marshall!

hey guys,
A band im tracking came in with a marshall AVT50 half stack. Both of the guitarists have the amp but they only broght one.. They each paid a grand for each. that's too much in the first place... BUT!
Guitar Center told them that it was the head, and a 4x12 cab. WRONG! (they dont really know what they're talking about, but they're nice guys) I checked it out... first of all... the tag on the back says 1x12 lead 8 ohm cab.. (there's definitely 4 speakers in there) and second i was skepticle (due to the pussy size of the sucker) so i measured the speakers. It's a 4x10. Is this weird? Are all of those little AVT marshall cabs 4x10s?

I bought a used AVT50 and it came with a JCM Lead 900 1960 4x10 Cab. I'm not sure what they come with new. I would guess the Marshall website has the info.
 
You can put whatever cab you want with it, as long as it can handle the power. I am running a TSL 100 with a Fender 4x12 cab.
 
yeah but they were told the speakers were 12's. it's pretty crappy

I like 4 10 cabs. Nice punch without getting in the way of the bass rig as much.
