which guitar and bas preamps do you suguest for home-studio use? do i get anything descent for 200-300 bucks?

and now the most stupid question ever asked! i record a metal band that has ibanez s class guitar, laney fusion 80 or 100 wats amplifier, boss metal-zone pedal and zoom hyperlead pedal!

am I in trouble?
