Hello everyone, I'm mostly a lurker here but thought I would throw a song out to get some feedback. I'd call this my first "real" attempt at putting something down and working hard at the mix.

I've received some good compliments on the mix but am sure there is plenty others can find for me to improve on, I'm posting here for a wider and more experienced audience.

It's done in RiffWorks (the stuff that comes with Line6's guitar port) and has some light compression from the endorphin VST (through Reaper) post-mix. It's in a RiffWorks-specific contest (the link goes direct to my song entry, but my aim is not for cheers from this board!). I really want to see what things I need to listen for and work on.

Thanks in advance, tear away! :D

Sorry no improvment points from me!
I love it! Keep posting!

Thanks Sikter!

Now seriously...this is the perfect mix? The contest is over, I really am looking for feedback...I kid not! :)

Thanks,

J.J.

The only thing i would do different is maybe bring down the vocals during the verses a bit, and in the i guess its the chorus where you are singing guilty, I would bring down the talking part that is going from side to side a little bit. I really like the song though, good work.

Very cool song, if I had to give a crit to something is I would lower the volcals a bit, but that's just me. :)

Hay guys thanks, I really appreciate the feedback! I did this on sort of a rush, and want to step back and look at it now to see what I can learn from it. I'll play with pulling the vocal levels back (I'm no vocalist, I'd be happy to bury them! ).

Thanks again,
J.J.
