GSP 2101 through amp straight up

Lads,

Will the mighty GSP 2101 work well doing duty mainly as a multi-effects unit
going direct into a snake/ monitor amp setup?

I used to sometimes gig with a 2120 running direct into a mixer and then a monitor send out to a GK 250ML as a monitor. I've seen some really good players run their 2101 pretty much the same way with decent results.
