Last night I sent out a lot of invoices. These are labeled and ready to ship. If shipping payment isn't received by Thursday, the label will expire and that order will go to the end of the line and be put in storage.
I feel that it's not fair to the others who are ready and waiting and to be put on hold.

Sounds fair. Chance -- were all "paid for" packages sent out today? Mine was paid Saturday, though I didn't receive any notice from FedEx today.

Chance,

Should I be concerned that I still haven't received a shipping invoice yet?

I haven't received one either, Harvey. Maybe Chance hasn't gotten to the "G's" yet. That means there's a ways to go.

:D

I wouldn't worry about it just yet. Chance is apparently sending invoices out in batches and lots of us haven't received one yet. I haven't received mine yet either, but all I ordered were preamps and I think the orders that are just mics are going first. I figure it will take at least a couple of weeks for all the invoices to get sent out.

I'm a "G" and I received (and paid) my invoice. But my order was mics only. So it doesn't appear to be alphabetical. Maybe I just got lucky. In any event, the invoices are going out - it's just going to take a bit of time for Chance and his shippers to get through all of them. (And to Bodhisan, mine hasn't shipped yet either. Patience.)

I just received several more payments from people/names unknown!
I will now start inserting a note in the invoices indicating "who this payment is for? In other words I need to connect the payment with the name on the original order. So far, this has happened 16 times and is VERY time consuming to figure out. When someone pays for shipping, the administration console informs me that so & so made a payment. When I go to look for that payment, I can't find it because it's under a different name.

That's a bummer, Chance. Maybe there's a good Samaritan out there who's just randomly paying for shipping! LOL

:D

Man this is getting CRAZY!! I just NOW received 2 payments. I have 2 people with the last name of "MIlls" both have a similar order. Both are male. I just received a payment from a J Mllls (female). I have no way of connecting payment with the order. I also just received a payment from a W F Irvin. No one with that name has even made an order! I don't understand it. Your gear is ready to ship but will have to go into storage. If this keeps up, it's going to be a long process. (I'm still having fun though)

You can just ship those orders to me...anything I can do to help out and make the process easier.:D

Chance, are you doing orders of just mics?

Or are mic/preamp orders being processed too?

Thanks,

Hey Chance. I thought the console that Randy set up would automatically connect shipping info to the order (as it's being paid through the console). Is it possible that there is some misrepresentation going on here? Hopefully not.

Chance, if you want we can setup a remote session and you can show me what you have to work with. I can likley make it much easer to find who paied for what with some simple filtering (if using Excel) or a query if you are looking at the DataBase.

Next time around, I think it would be beneficial if everyone recieved an account or order numebr and were told to reference it on their payment....if you recieve any payments that are not referenced, then they shoudl be considered donations to the "Chance does what ever he feels like" fund.

Thats correct, but when someone who paid for the gear is DIFFERENT from the person paying for the shipping, it raises a red flag and I don't know who to credit the shipping to.

On the last GB, I mistakenly sent an order to Austrailia that was supposed to go to Nashville. I learned a very expensive lesson on that one.

These shippers are extremely efficient and want to pack and ship, but can't do anything until those that are ready, ship. Like I mentioned before from now on, when you check your console (for invoice), there will be a note about same order/paid-name, same shipping/paid-name.

Is there a transaction number that you could use to match them up? Presumably the GB console software knows which account was logged in when payment occurred, so it should be able to send you an email that includes a transaction ID that you could then match with the transaction IDs deposited into your bank account... at least in theory.

so i just wanted to check and make sure i didn't do something stupid.

i didn't receive an email or anything, but when i checked the console i had a shipping total due, so i went ahead and paid it, was that the right thing to do?

i did get an email receipt....
