Chance, if this has been answered already I must have missed it and you have my apologies. Somewhere among the 5000+ posts my eyes may have glazed over.

About how many people are there in the group?

And are there any interesting patterns in how many bought mics, how many bought preamps, how many bought both?

Hey Chance, I know there was mention of it in the past....are you still open to pick up?

with 26 items it may be worth taking a trip out since it is not too far away not to mention I can always use an excuse to kick back in Cali for a couple of days.

Also, if anyone is is from the Phoenix, AZ area and would like me to pick up for them as well I am more then happy to.

At very least it would be nice to shake your hand for taking all of this on.

Giving up my GB Items

Hey folks!

I am a participant in Chance's group buy over in the Mic forum. This message is being posted in that forum as well. I am getting my financial stuff in order in preparation for asking my girlfriend to marry me. Right now I don't really have time for music stuff and the first casualty is going to be the items I have on order from the group buy. I'm not quite sure how I will be doing this...likely I will sell individual items instead of all together. The merchandise as of now, is scheduled to arrive in the US at the end of August, where I understand that Chance will then collect from me the shipping costs which have not been figured out yet. So the items should be in my hands sometime in early September. I would then ship each piece to whoever buys them, or if buyers wish, they can pick them up at my loacation or I could meet up within a reasonable distance. Shipping is NOT included in the prices below. The costs will be exactly what I paid. If you want one or all of these, please PM me. I am looking to get the payment (via check or money order) within 30 days.

The Items are as follows
1. ACMP-84 Racmounted Mic Pre $175
2. ACMP-73 Rackmounted Mic Pre $175
3. ACM-4 Double Ribbon Microphone $60
4. ACM-6802T Tube Condenser Microphone $95

Total $505

That's a tough call to have to make, but I respect you for making it! Good luck with the finances--even more importantly, have a great marriage!

Wish I could help you out, but I have no money these days. Truly a noble cause and I hope that it all works out for you. Shame about having little time for music, but best of luck with your impending proposal and good luck with your gear sale.

Just a FWIW...this is probably an optimistic estimate. It would be nice, but probably it'll take a little longer than that. Just a guess, based on past experience.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but it's the most obvious place to ask.
Has anyone heard from Randy recently?

I sent him a couple of emails about 3 weeks ago but have had no reply...I did see somewhere that he was doing some live production stuff but it just seems weird that he's not answered his pm's or emails since he posted on here a week ago. :confused:

I'm going to call Randy tomorrow. I was going to call today, but he is usually out all day on Sundays

Yo, Chance!

It's being reported that to cut down on smog in Beijing during the Olympics, the Chinese government is shutting down all factories within a certain radius of the capital.

Are our mic and preamp factories affected, or are they outside the blackout zone?
