GB Payment Update
Hi Guys,
All seems well with the credit card portion of the payment system. As I said, virtual checks will be open soon... Those of you desiring to pay with virtual checks, don't despare, they will be open soon... Just clarifying a few things about international checks before I open them up... I'll send out a mass email as soon as I open this portion up for payment.
Concerning international credit card orders:
There was one payee today from the Bahamas that tried to pay, but the gateway kept asking for him to supply a "STATE"... Later this evening, the processor and I finally figured out the details of how to make this work....believe it or not, there was nothing in their spec docs, special, to make international transactions work. I have modified the code on our side now, that, during checkout, if you choose a country other than the US, it won't require a state...actually behind the scenes, I'm passing to the gateway a special character to satify it's need for a state... This took quite some time to get this info from the processor today, but I believe we finally conquered this obstacle...
Again, seems that everything on the credit card payment side is going well. I have noticed 1 oddity that I'll inform you of:
This has happend 2 times so far; when someone checks out via credit card, our database automatically gets updated to show that you've paid. In 2 instances, people have paid, and it shows paid on the gateway, but didn't get marked as paid in our GB database. If you pay/checkout, and the next time you log into the User Console and just below your product invoice, it is not marked as paid, please let me know and I'll confirm in the gateway that you in-fact have paid, and manually update the GB database to reflect this. It doesn't seem to be happening very often, but I have seen it happen and will take care of it on a case-by-case basis...
Thanks again,
Randy
