Group Buy Interest?

Look, I certainly trust Chance and I'll be more than happy to send him a postal money order for my order, if that'll help.
 
This is what everyone says not to use when the nigerians email you...but what would be the issue with using

www.westernunion.com

for the transactions? Looks like it would cost me about $50US to send $1000US,I mean thats not cheap, but it seems like an option.

Though it seems like it has a limit of $2,000 , which doesn't affect me, but may do others.

Is a different one, run by western union it looks it has a higher limit. Is there something dodgy I'm missing?
 
Can anyone ( Chance, Randy ) say roughly how long this delay may last? I only ask because if it looks like it may be a couple of weeks then I'd like to buy a guitar I'm checking out on ebay. Been wanting one for a while and I've found TWO at the right price.

I really don't like to have too much money sitting around on the card that I use exclusively for PP as my account has been hacked into before and if I DO need to transfer more money across in a hurry to fund the GB then that will take a couple of days..... :o

But it was cheaper to use Paypal (about $30 for $1000 purchase). It's way too much...would much rather an electronic check/postal money order/something like that.

For Direct Deposit/Wire Transfer which I think is basically what Randy is looking at setting up, I suggest your speak to you bank as from my experiences, their transfer fees are probably less than WU. However, if I'm posting funds o/seas I use WU's International Money Orders which can be obtained from the Post Office, they have a fee of approx., $8.00AU or alternatively, an International Bank Cheque issued by your bank which costs approx., $28.00AU.

EDIT...........: It's probably worth mentioning that US banks usually charge a handling or processing fee once funds are presented at their end, so that's an additional amount that has to be paid, this time by Chance, unless of course he includes an arbitary amount in the intial costings to cover these issues.

Me too. The only thing worse than worrying about taxes is owing them AND worrying about them. I'd be glad to help take this worry off your plate...

that is really funny, i'm in the exact same boat...except I just went and bought it anyway. Got a Maton EA80C for a great price, will be selling something/doing some overtime to get the cc paid off :)

Hi Guys..

No approval today on the merchant account... I do know that it made it into the underwriting department for approval, but they didn't get "down into the stack" that far before quitting time today. SO it should be towards the top of the stack, morning EDT.

IF, IF, this goes through, and I'm pretty confident that it will, we'll have credit card processing, as well as ACH... If you have the cash in the bank to do ACH, that would be the cheapest for you as far as transaction fees go... If you want to use credit card, you can, but processing fees will be slightly higher...but certainly not 2.9% + $0.30! :D This should give everyone some options...

Since I know this processor's gateway inside and out, I've already started writing code on "our" side to interface with it... This should expedite this process some as soon as the account makes it through the processor's underwriting and account implementation departments... at that point it should just be plug & play... Yeah, I know there will be bugs in my code! What was I thinkin'? ;)

One bug in code is equal to only one bug - Although fixing it might produce more!
One bug created in the design phase is equal to more than 10 bugs in the coding phase...
One bug created in requirement phase is equal to more than 100 bugs in the coding phase...

AND, finally Microsoft's favorite line: It's not a bug!... It's a feature!

Still plugin' away...

PP won`t even show there was a transaction and my bank
can but refuse to do more. I just leave this as it is, I´m kind of oldish and not in my best health -looking for some other deals once I pay this ( not yours ) mistake

Patience young man, the refunds will come, but in Paypal's time frame. The group buy will wait until the refunds show up, so just hang in there and be a part of the fun. You'll regret it if you pull out when everyone else is carrying on about their new gear in a few months.
