looks great! I can't get past the initial form, though - I'm using firefox on a mac, and there's no "submit" button - that is, I'm able to fill in "Group Buy" "First Name" "Last Name" "Main Forum" "Forum UserName" "Email Address" "Confirm Email Address", but then I can't do anything to actually submit the info.
I don't have a MAC to test on, but I have tested it in IE and Firefox on a PC and it seems to be working fine.

If I'm on an unsupported browser, and my change of email address has simply left me out of the promised land, then so be it - but I figured I'd bring it up.
Nah, anything it takes to get the registration piece to work for everyone, I'll do my best to make it happen... You won't be left out because of a programming issue with the registration page... :)

Ihave been getting E-mails stating that the registration link doesn't work. I just tried it and indeed, it does not open. Anyone else have this problem?

I'd have to look at the server log files to make sure, but I know there was an automatic server update installed this morning and the server may have had to re-start... This might have caused this downtime some of you experienced...

Hopefully you can see the edits below my original post -- it's all good. It was probably the slowness of my local wireless network or some blip on the internet. I considered deleting the text, but figured I'd leave it for others to see (along with the resolution -- hitting refresh a few times).

One thing I noticed is that the pres listed on the order page do not contain the model numbers.

Which relates to what model?

Model Numbers have been added to the registration page for the Mic PreAmps, with the exception of the STANDALONE unit, which I don't know the model of yet...

Thanks again for bringing this up...

I still haven't gotton the prices on everything. My rep is at a trade show.

On another note the engineering dept has my redesigned ribbon mic ready for production along with a new (sort of) tube condenser mic.(you might recognise it) I have a pics and specs for both but am worried about putting too many things up for grabs and not make the quota of 100 pieces each (minimum) for all this gear.

Would it be possible to put the pic and specs up, and gauge response? I'd sure be curious to at least seem them...

I'll try to put at least the pictures up on my site this afternoon. I have a very busy tracking day today.

I had no trouble registering or getting my email last night.

I'm interested too in the new mics. Especially the ribbons. I'm looking for a good vocal ribbon mic. Something like the RCA 77DX. I mention that brand because they are no longer made. That mic would work with many type of voices.

Thanks again for any input and getting this GB going.

Can someone from Gearslutz be included or do they need to register here. In the last group buy I got a mic for a buddy of mine and he's wanting more. He doesn't post here... so does he need to register here or will Gearslutz be Ok in the Main Forum feild?

Thanks,
B.

I asked this in the Preamp Poll thread but got no response...

Will there be much difference in the sound of the Pre of the 84,81,73? Besides the EQ shaping ability?

I'm thinking... I don't ever see a need for 4 DI so I might go with 2 (acmp-73) and 2 (acmp-84). That way there's the ability for stereo DI if needed. I like Meters :D so the 84 gets my vote over the 81.

Thanks,
B.

Important Update!

When I first posted the Group Buy Registration link, many of you asked if later you would be able to modify your items and their quantities. I said that I would build and interface for you to do so. I have completed this interface and have published it to the web server.

In order to get to this "User Console", please use the original registration link: http://www.n344rb.com/MUSICIANSWORKSHOP/ and on this page is a button that is labeled: "User Console" click this button to go to the login page.

Currently, the login credentials are the email address that you used during registration, and the password for everyone is: password.

Upon logging in, you will be able to change your password, which I highly recommend doing.

If anyone has any problems with this interface, please post them here and I'll work to resolve them.

Thanks in advance,

Randy

Yes, he can participate without being a member here... Just go to the registration page and register to be included... In the "Main Forum Field" he would just put "Gearslutz"...

I keep trying the user console but each time I try to log in it tell me failed attempt. Any thoughts?

Wow, this is a great setup. Went there changed my password and voilà!

So much easier than the last.

Thanks so much Zetajazz44!

OK, it seems that the spam bot is case senstive. I'm in now.

Yes, the CAPTCHA is case sensitive.

For anyone that doesn't know, CAPTCHA means:
"Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart"

It makes sure that the login is being performed by a human and not a machine....

Tomorrow, I'll put an addition to the login page for the User Console for "Forgot Password"... I'm sure that someone will forget their password and this will come in handy...

Would do it today, but I've gotta do some recording this evening! :p

Again, since this is the first time this system is being used, I'm sure that there will be bugs that pop up from time to time... Please post those here and I'll fix them as they occur...

Thanks!

Randy

Okay, kind of confused. I originally registered and marked down a pair of 73 preamps because I thought we needed to show chance how many orders to expect. But now it looks a little more like this is the ACTUAL order.... I don't want to accidentally place an order when I don't even know the cost. So I deleted it.

It would be nice if we had a difinitive answer as to whether what we mark is what we are INTERESTED in ordering, or if it is in fact THE ORDER.

I Apologize if this has been cleared up previously, but I couldn't find the answer.
