Instead of one large 'group', try dividing it up into two smaller 'groups'. Send two e-mails; one to group A and one to group B. Sometimes if you try and send an e-mail to too many people at once you'll get errors.

Ah yes. I was thinking that too, because since the test E-mails went out OK, there have been many additions to the E-list. I'll try that in a few hours

4 weeks from the time I post the prices. This was all revealed in the mass E-mail that I am having problems sending.

I believe there is a limit to the number of addresses you can send to in a single message as a way to combat SPAM/JUNK Mail. But I can't tell you what that limit is. Splitting it would be a good test, and a possible solution.

Actually all of the addresses are in a group (within my address book) I had no problem with the 2 test E-mails, BUT there were several recient additions.
What I don't understand is that when I tried to resend the test E-mail, that too would not send. I am wondering if when resending the test E-mail, the recient E-dress additions were included.
good luck, Chance! If the test email is simply to the group, then that may explain why it doesn't work now -- trying to resend it probably means it now wants to go to the updated group, which maybe contains an invalid address.

Something of a DIFFERENT post. This is an election year and one of the candidates wants to put a tarriff on all products coming from China, I don't know what that will mean to future GB's, but has no effect on this one,

well, probably means to make this one count!
also if you need anything from the dollar store, now's a good time to stock up before it becomes the $1.34 store.
(self-moderated :D)

If you are having trouble with a recipient limit being reached and are using outlook, you could try a mail merge, which is more like sending individual emails at a time

Outlook has a limit of roughly 500 recipients. It's been a while since I hit that limit, so I don't recall what the error message was, but IIRC it was very odd, not a message I would have expected.

That was the problem

That was the problem

I guess that is a good problem to have....if you have 500+ people buying these units...ane im sure probably half will be buying multiple units....you should have no problems hitting the target numbers...

sorry if this is a stupid question, but i just wanted to double check:

1. there are going to be both mics and pre's available in the upcoming group buy?

2. as long as i got an email from chance (mine came this evening) i'll be notified as to when i can place my order before it's too late?

thanks!

Yes and yes.

In fact, he earlier stated that there be a four week window for ordering. And of course he's got to get pricing out to us. Just keep up with this thread and you'll be fine. (I did it last time, and this thread became a ritual...with a good result!)

Got it as well.
I guess I wonder whether you want 500 responses that say I got it.....
Probably just want to hear from those who did not?

On a side note to the group buy I have to give Chance another "tip of my hat" for using Abiliy Counts for the packaging/mailing of the group products. I am the father of an autistic son. At his school beside "regular" classes he also attends a manufacturing class and does work in their green house so one day he may be able to hold a job like this. Just great to see us using the "abilities" of these people. You rock Chance. Thanks
