Cool! thats great. Unfortunately I haven't made numbers yet except for the lollypop which is a condenser, phantom powered and has a one inch diaphragm. (ACM-100) I plan to have all the specs up this week end. I can have the numbers for the others this afternoon

I would have needed to order 100 of those and the interest seemed to be lacking

Was that a stereo ribbon? If the failed stereo ribbon group buy was any indication (it failed because of Paypal issues), I doubt you'll have any trouble getting a hundred units sold. I was planning to order three in that buy.

Thanks Chance for putting up the added info.

As you are testing your prototypes is there a way you could note how each of these mics sound? I know it's subjective, but at least what instrument you feel these might be good on? Also a comparison for each ribbon mic?

Example:

ACM200 - Similar to RCA###, good for vocals
ACM300 - Similar to ACM200 but may be better on guitar amps. A bit darker than the ACM900.
ACM900 - higher output, etc.

Any descriptive words would maybe help those buying who don't have a vast experience with mics.

I understand that comparing your models to current models may not be good on the forum, but maybe using the mass email would work? Similar to how you will give the pricing?

Just trying to get as much info as possible before making an order!:D

Thanks again for all the info,

Earl Green

ribbon frequency range

isn't 15k a little bit of an early drop off on those new ribbon mics? Does that have anything to do with the phantom power, and how much does it drop off, I wonder.

Another well known phantom-powered ribbon microphone is also spec'd at 30 to 15k +/-3dB (as are their tube and non-powered models), though the frequency graphs appear to extend to 18K within the same tolerance. This really isn't too bothersome to me.

A lot of it is probably due to the poor quality of Chinese transformers unless these are transformerless, in which case I can't imagine.

Can't really complain about that,

Not yet, but look for a mass email with detailed info soon, maybe even today.

I tried sending the mass E-mail yesterday but it wouldn't send. I am getting an error message stating " server did not recognize recipients. Explanation 5.7.1 missing or literal domain not allowed mixi error .5550".
I tried for a couple hours last night and it wouldn't send. I sent a blank E-mail to myself and had no trouble. Then I tried to resend the "test E-mail" to you all and that too would not send. I am thinking that perhaps some of the recient additions to the E-list might be corrupt. That is the only difference between now and the last test E-mail. I am on a MAC using Outlook express. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Hi Chance. I checked the MS Knowledge base and couldn't find a reference to this error message. When you inserted the email addresses into the BCC box, did you separate each of them with a comma or a semi colon? If there were bad addresses, those should have come back 'undeliverable' but the rest should have gone through. I use the CC and the BCC all the time, however I've never tried a mass mailing of this magnitude. Hope someone chimes in with a solution.

Paul :D

Actually all of the addresses are in a group (within my address book) I had no problem with the 2 test E-mails, BUT there were several recient additions.
What I don't understand is that when I tried to resend the test E-mail, that too would not send. I am wondering if when resending the test E-mail, the recient E-dress additions were included.

chance-- did any mass emails go out this weekend? i got the other two, but nothing this weekend.
thanks!
