OK. I think I have this all sorted out. There are a few of you that have moved. E-mail me all of your previous info (name, address, E-dress) and the new/updated info.
I have to manually put all of this into my Fedex account

if we have not moved, do we still have to re-send you address info?

sorry about the added work.

See if your Fedex account will support a file upload. You can download your transaction history from Paypal as a .csv file, which contains address information. You will probably need to reformat that information to Fedex's format, and you might have to call or email Fedex to get the upload spec, but it should still be much faster, easier, and less prone to data entry error than manually rekeying all the address information.

Postage Payment

Chance; please post here letting us know when the time comes for us to make postage payment through PayPal.

Again - thanks for puting this together. You've given a bunch of us a great opportunity.

Man, I can't wait to test my mics out tonight... or rather, wouldn't it be great if we could test out our mics, or in other words, any news yet on shipping?

Well I worked all weekend and took inventory, and manually transfered all the shipping info from Pay Pal fo my fed ex account. I hope to start shipping this week. Don't forget, I run a studio and am a one man operation, so be paitient. Once I get into the rhythm of things, it SHOULD go quickly.

I was just reviewing all the shipping options Fed ex offers
First overnight
priority overnight
standard overnight
2 day
express saver
home delivery

The least expensive being "home delivery"

Bear in mind the mics are heavy
I still have to get packing materials like bubble wrap
Fed ex told me that I get boxes free, so I ordered 20 each of the small, med, and large. They just came and even the large wouldn't even hold the smallest mic. I have to call them in the morning
Unless someone specifies fast delivery, I will go with the least expensive rate. If there is a prefrence, send me an E-mail with "SHIP RATE" in the subject.

no worries

Hey, man. That was all I needed. I think you're doing great. :o

Once again, thanks for the update. Looking forward to testing these (comparatively) soon.

FedEx Ground is usually cheaper than Home Delivery if a package is going to a business address. It's also much better because HD doesn't respect normal business hours. This can delay delivery to business addresses by a day or more. HD thus tends to be worse service for more money....

Ditto. FedEx Ground is reasonable all around. If there's a choice in the matter I'd go with that.

I live in Honolulu, HI, and prefer FedEx Ground because it is the least expensive way of shipping. I know it's kind of strange to specify "GROUND" shipping to Hawaii, but it works. It took several tries to convince various businesses I ordered merchandise from to ship using FedEx or UPS ground. It does not take much longer than 2nd day to Hawaii. Sometimes my ground shipments even arrive in two days if there is space available on the cargo flights.

...the large wouldn't even hold the smallest mic...
It sounds like they gave you a pill box, a match box, and a ring box. I guess there is a reason why they are free. ...because they are worthless!

I'll bet they want to charge you way extra for the "really" larger ones that you can actually put something in. Sounds like the typical sales trap to me.

Oh well, do what ya gotta do. We'll wait.

I am also in favor of the least expensive shipping option. Also, I will be glad to pick up my mics in person, instead, if it makes it easier on you. Thank you!

Wait!!! Sunny southern California? Maybe I'll pick up mine in person too. (Can I stay over for a few days? :D)

I'm also in favor of the least expensive option - "home delivery", which fedex describes as shipping to a "residential address". The shipping address I provided is my office physical address (not PO Box) -- in an office building in a downtown area -- the receptionist is there during business hours and can sign.

I read the description on the fedex site ( http://www.fedex.com/us/services/us/homedelivery/ ), and it appears that, despite using the term "residential address", it won't be an issue to use "home delivery" to send to my office. Anyone with more direct experience on this issue?

[edit] -- oops, skipped a couple of very informative posts above -- looks like it's fedex ground for me!
