You will not be disappointed, you can easily sell for a profit. The ribbons I got are amazing at three times the price

I don't know from ribbon mikes--is there a specific model/brand it's trying to copy? Which one?
It vaguely reminds me of little microphones I had when I was a kid, that I used with one of those little reel-to-reel recorders (w/built in folding stand and on/off switch!)

I am having a hard time choosing because I dont know what difference the head shape does.
I definately want one for Vocals, so I am looking at the ACM-1.
I want a pair for intruments (guitars , mandos , violins), so I am looking atthe ACM-2 or 3.
How does one looking like a lollipop vs the r*yer look-a-like affect its function?
Am I making the right choices?
Help!

I did a very quick shootout of a branded version that closely resembles the ACM-1 in comparison with a couple of other ribbon mics obtained in the last group buy (that closely resemble the ACM-2 and ACM-3), here post #11. I'm definitely looking to pick up a couple of the ACM-1 mics in this buy. I think it's a good vocal mic (especially if you remove some of the interior mesh surrounding the ribbon element) and I'd like a pair to use for
overheads, too, as I found the detail and off axis response to be quite good in my tests.
