ARMI,
Just finished listening to the download & am replaying as I type.
I loved the change at 4 min. It's a Glam strut.
The kick is a little clicky but it works for the song. I like all levels as they are presently.
The vocals effects on the chorus are obviously the trippy side of things but that works too - may be too subtle - people respond favourably to transparent or trowled on - anything inbetween gets 'em edgy.
I love the bass growl.
I haven't latched onto the lyrics yet but the melody is terrific & trade mark Rami.
Harmonies are good.
Solo'd rhythm guitar - I think it's right - it sets up the lead solo.
Starting the intro at 7 secs might be a way of dealing with your concerns about tone. It's in the pocket when accompanied.
I was expecting a bit of backward guitar in the outro to up the trippy quotient!
Ido's right about the Queen touches - little flourish here, tone there. But only the best period Q mind.
Top shelf mate.
Will you develop the lyric or leave it as is? You've done some deep stuff in previous stuff.

Hey Greg, Llarion, 60's Guy, and Ray....

I really apprecuate your comments. 60's, I can't think of the song you're talking about, but I know when I wrote this, I wasn't really sure how original it was. It just "sounded" too familiar. Maybe it'll hit me one day and I'll have to scrap it. :D

As per almost everyone's recommendation I re-wtore and re-recorded the grunge gitar that nobody likes...(you guys are no fun, I wanted my garage sound :( )

Anyway, I'll put up the new mix in a few minues and let you guys know.

Ray, I don't know about the lyrics. I originally intended to re-write them. But, with the exception of a few lines, they've sort of grown on me. I like your idea of a backwards guitar in the outro. Something to consider.

Llarion, I wonder what the second chord in my chorus is. I thought it was a A7, but there's a D in it, so now I'm thinking it might be a G9. Doesn't really matter, just curious to know what I came up with. :)

Rami -

Sounds great!

Just curious how you have the cymbals mic'd? The hats and the ride are just a smidge loud, but the crashes are way lower. Other than that, I love the drum sound! :D

Thanx NL...and thanx for the tip on the mic placement for the snare.

I'm doing the Recordman configuration. I think for this 1/4 note hi-hat/ride type beat, I tend to hit the hats and ride possible too hard. So, if there's an imbalance, it's probably me more than anything else. You'll hear on the stops, when I choke the crash, it's prett loud. I'm probably not hitting them enough compared to the hats/ride elsewhere in the tune.

So, there are 4 mic's on the drums? I love that tom sound!

Yeah, 4 mics.

Thanx about the toms. I started using my 10" tom instead of using my 13". I was doing 12, 13, 18. Now it's 10, 12, 18. I know, I wish I had a 16" floor instead. The 18" is a little too down there sometimes.

Ok, for all you purist heathens :D :D:D

...I just changed the guitar part in the middle. I'm still experimenting, but am wondering if this is more the direction I should take it, a little trippier.

Of course, I'll try and play it better once I actually decide on a part.

Hey Ramster, this is a classy tune.

I think I`m hearing some LPC Influences in there

I love the snapping fingers , brings my mind back to killer queen.

hve you done something with the kick, other than what you usually do, I sorta think its sounds different.
A bit "synthetic" Poor english sorry, (dont mean to offend).
Its kinda that i would like to hear it sound more like a kick drum, (accoustickly).
I dont know maybe its just my system.

The guitars sound freakin great on this tune, the riff is very cool, and very 70`s sounding.

Your vox are great on this one as well thats were I thought I heard some LPC influence.

To round it all of I say : This rawked!!!

Hey Nak...It's the second time someone says one of my songs has a LPC influence to it.
I don't hear it and certainly am not trying to sound like them, but I guess I just listen to that CD so much that, like anything else, it's got to influence me somehow. But it's definitely a compliment.

I don't know what's happeing with the kik. I might have over-compressed it, though I'm not a compression maniac, usually. I'll have to look into it. It's not hitting me in the chest the way it usually does.

Thanx alot, man.

sounds good over all, i personally love big loud clicky kick, so thats fine, really the only thing to me is the bass, its way to loud, but thats just personal taste, the bass SOUNDS GOOD, i just dont like bass way up in the mix on ANYTHING cept mabye jazz.

Yeah, it was down. Which pissed me off because I wanted to upload a new version. I spent half the night working on the low end, especially the bass (Thanx Chris). and changed the middle part completely.

So, I finally put up new version. Like I said, I worked on the bass and low end. I cut the intro a bit, and wrote a new middle part while changing the solo to something more spacey with reverse guitar (thanx Ray). :)

Here's the new link: http://www.ramirami.com/freemusic.cfm?go=1&component=music-download&id=162565

It still streams here: www.ramirami.com

Rework Remix Rethink Re Lgood

Tight & terrific intro.
I liked the bottom end as was but there's still enough to please me.
Solo - maybe begin the rhythm git a bit louder or sooner to shorten the false stop - it's a cool idea & the new part is good too just needs some tweaking the pause/gap to audibility may be too long to excite expectation.
Good, good song.

Thanx Ray...You didn't actually hear the new one, sort of. I had trouble putting up a file, and when I finally did. I realised it was the wrong one.

Now, I can't put up another one again.

Sorry, I'll get it loaded as soon as I can.

It's very much an old school rock sound, kind of Budgie meets ZZ Top. I think the intro guitar sound is spot on. I listened to the link in your first post, so I'm not sure if that was the new version, but nothing sticks out as being too much or too little. Great writing, playing, engineering, arranging. As usual. Don't you ever knock out any crappy songs? :D

Thanx alot, Bull. Yes, you're one of the lucky ones that didn't have to suffer through the 238 re-mixes I did since last night. You heard the latest verision.

BUDGIE sounds familiar, but I'm not sure if I know them. Someone else to check out.

I really appreciate your comment, buddy.
