Graphic EQ in Cakewalk Homestudio

So I was toying around with the EQ in Homestudio, you have to have a track selected to use it. So I selected track one and adjusted and tinkered for a few, it loaded, I listened. Ok, cool, track two, did the same thing, except I noticed when I brought up the EQ with track 2 selected (track 1 NOT selected) the settings for the EQ are what I left it at for Track 1. Which leads me to believe that I can't EQ each track seperatly. Can anyone confirm or explain this a bit for me please? Thanks! :confused:
 
I'm not familiar with HomeStudio, but if the effect is patched into the FX bin of the track, if should only affect that track.

The newer versions of Sonar Producer have built-in track eq's. However, you can get to the same place (albeit somehwat less conveniently) by patching an eq plug-in onto each track.
