Wow, where do you find that? That is freaking hilarious. I especially like the review that talks about Mary Lou Retton and Stephen Hawking. Genius.

yeah that Virtual Studio Visitor plug is pretty sweet and can't be beat for the price. i find that the Bea Arthur preset really can add that sought after vintage Bea Arthur-in-studio tone for less than 1/50th the cost of the real thing. of course a careful ear will tell the difference but yeah for the price it does some amazing things.

I had the old outboard stand alone version of the Studio Visitor but it died.

"A week later we recut the solo with a real ninja in the studio..."

This stuff is better than Antares Auto Tune!

Congrats, Philgood, you've come of age. I was going to bust your balls for being a spammer, but you had too many posts to be the real thing.-Richie

Omg

I just bought everything but the Virtual Home Studio Modeller because I already have a Mackie, a MiniDisc recorder, and Portastudio laying around if we need them :D

Awesome post Phil! Cheers, Rez

Hey Phil, ya, you have to watch out for those trigger-happy lookin-for-spammer-types on this forum. It is like a disease with some people. Anyway, thanks for sharing that, looks very interesting.

Smile could have used the Mike Love emulator. That record just sounds too happy; it needs a dose of butthole.

Still waiting for the plug-in that makes the guitarist stop playing while we're listening to the track!

DIGITAL vintage silence.

There is an error in their parody of the silence . . . one of their testimonies says the plug makes silence 10dB less than 0dB, as if that's not possible. But it is--0dB is only a reference level based on the lower limit of human hearing.

Anyway, there could be a plug that emulated a vintage noise gate, I suppose.

The Virtual Studio Visitor plug was much, much funnier.
