Got any leftover compressed fiberglass or rockwool?

No luck finding any around here, other than special orders for tons more than I would ever use in a lifetime.
I need enough to do 4 2'x3' traps. :rolleyes:
I'll pay for it, plus shipping! :D

I definitely need some traps - want to use them to help tame reflections when mic recording, and also for mixing - just had my tunes mastered and (no surprise) the low end was pretty tough for the ME.
 
Sorry man... If we have any leftover, we usually put it in the fridge and have it for lunch the next day - microwaved is great!

Any comments from anyone on using Roxul AFB (doubled to 4") rather than any of the other materials? At $54 (for the insulation) to build 4 traps, this is within my budget.

Next question - when I use these stacked 2 high for movable gobos, what's a good way to keep them form toppling? I can make little 'feet' for the unit on the bottom, but how do I keep the one on top from falling off (assuming I will use 1x4 lumber for framing) without adding brackets that need to be attached via screws each time?
 
Roxul AFB is 2.8 pcf and a good choice for 4" traps/gobos. For gobos and better 'isolation' between instruments/vocals, you may want to put a 3/8" plywood or MDF partition in middle of the gobo.

The gobos won't be for instrument isolation, just for taming room reflections.
