Thats what I have been thinking. The only problem is it might be like BMG and Columbia House where you can only sign up an address one time. Maybe, maybe not.

I am gonna try it next paycheck.
 
before this thread was "popular" i got smacked with the little red dot next to my name. Is there any way that can get reversed? i understand it happening, people thought i was spamming. I dont even know what the importance of the green and red dots are anyway, so if i cant, it doesnt matter i guess... right?
 
I don't see what this can hurt...and I tend to be somewhat skeptical. I signed up using Konrad G's referral link, got the Columbia House offer, got credit at the site, and away I go. We'll see what happens now.

It won't hurt anything, except for turning this place into a stinking dunghole people use to get free crap with pyramid lists.

As I see it, that pretty much runs counter to no ads/no spam/no commercial shit clogging up the BBS.

What is to stop everyone from doing it, and we've got a BBS full of Konrads.

Just my opinion.

I think it's pretty funny Konrad got mad at shackrock for doing the same thing. Cracked me up, really. And still he thinks it's a good idea to do this stuff. I think shack is kind of a tool, but I'll rep him just for pissing Konrad off.

I did one of these things once... but it was to get a free Playstation 2 instead of an Ipod. I was in the market for a PS2 b/c GTA San Andreas had just come out and I wanted to play the MF.

For mine I had to sign up for 3 different promotions. I did Blockbuster, which I actually still use. I like it over the over priced rental place down the street that has stupid movie snobs working there who couldn't give a damn about the customers.

For the next promotion I ordered a Entertainment coupon book, which cost $25. I haven't used any of the coupons but some of them look to be all right.

And the last promotion, I was running out of options and went with AOL.. not that I'd actually use it or install it but just that I'd sign up for the 1 free month and then cancel... Big mistake. After trying to cancel they began charging my bank account. In all the cost me $23.90. They refunded $47.80 that they had also charged to my bank card. It took quite a few phone calls for that though and I just gave up on the $23.90 that they wouldn't refund.

But after about 3 months I finally got a check in the mail for $149.99 and a letter explaining that they ran out of Playstations and that I should just use the check to go and buy it myself. I just deposited in my bank account, and I never ended up getting a PS2.

So let's see the math on this... $25 for the entertainment book plus $23.90 for AOL.. so $48.90 it cost me... plus the $15 / mo I pay to Blockbuster, but that is a service I would have signed up for anyways b/c it actually saves me money in movie rental costs each month. So I made about $100.00 on the deal.

I wouldn't do anything like this again though. Way to much of a hassle. I had to mail this confirmation code to some place in FL and email them about 5 times over the course of 2 or three months before I finally got my check.

BTW.. I believe that the place I did this through was emarketresearchgroup.com .

I mean, I did a thread like this a few weeks ago, in the CORRECT FORUM that it shoulda been in (which is the dragan cave, cuz it's totally MISC and not related to recrording). Maybe a person or 2 did the link, but mostly everyone yelled about spamming. ha.

I think it's funny that everyone loves it now.
I also think it's funny that you do the same thing as me, but only happen to have one link instead of a few more.

Did you go with the mini, because theres theres only so much william hung, clay aiken, hilary duff, lindsay lohan music produced in this era, a 20 gb would be overkill.
