Got a question, Harvey..

I'm looking at the AT4033 that purports to use an "internal open cell wind screen". I'm wondering if this foam screen has the potential of drying with age and becoming a brittle, flaking liability?
Any thoughts sir?

Rick,

It shouldn't be a problem for the forseeable life expectancy of the mic, and it's probably helping tame that 7kHz peak. Actually, considering it's a 1/2" or so electret mic, it looks like a decent general purpose mic.

And I was hoping you were gonna say "Wow grip, it's the just the ultimate vocal mic in its $299 class!".

Oh well, back to da drawing board.
