Good stuff for under $600

I helped a friend buy some new gear yesterday. We got a C-1, Studio Projects Mic Pre and a RNC for under $600. I'm pretty sure I'll get a C-1 for my own collection after hearing his. I'd like to get the other stuff too but I'm pretty happy with my Joe Meek Twin Q.

Has anybody ab'd the C1 and B1 on vocals?

I haven't done the A-B, but I should soon. I've been using C-3 for a while with pretty good results, and my B-1 is in the mail. I'll let you know what my impressions are when I get a chance. It may be a while though, 'cause I just bought 3 higher end mics, and I've got most of an album to re-track. It should be a relevent test to you though, as my main pre is a twinQcs.-Richie
