I hope this isn't considered spamming:
I just scored two mics- the MXL V67 (LDC) (which I believe Harvey G likes) and an MXL 603 (SDC) from these people off of ebay.

Total was US$221 and this includes $40 shipping. So that's like £120 odd quid for two pretty decent (albeit budget) microphones.
If I get stung for VAT this will cost an extra £20 odd quid plus another £8 Royal Mail "handling fee", pushing the price up nearer £150- still a good deal.
I spend a lot of time looking for decent priced gear (particularly mics) as I know we pay massively inflated prices on a lot of stuff in the UK. I thought I'd share this with you as it seems like a good deal.
I don't know if these would be considered good prices in the US?
