Good price on a Shure SM7A

that is a good deal, especially considering it includes a windcreen/pop filter with...now if only the wife hadn't run up the credit card this last weekend...
 
My recollection is that SM7b has a slightly better mount. That's about it. I think at that point the electronics are the same. The SM7a had better shielding than the original SM7. I've heard people say that the latter models don't require quite as much gain as the original, but I've never seen proof. I have 2 original SM7s and they work just fine. BTW, you can buy the new mount from Shure if you want and put it on your earlier model. I don't really think it is necessary myself.
 
Just bought one of those myself for $275 without the extras, and even then I was satisfied with the price! Awesome mic.
