Does anyone know of any good places to outsource some mastering to, specifically some hip-hop. I don't have a clue how to master and I know it's something that takes a LOT of time and practice to get even decent at, so I wanted to outsource the mastering. Hoping for something relatively cheap, doesn't have to be major label quality, just something that will be worth paying for, and if they are specialized or have experience with hip-hop that would be best.

I could say that. I mastered the latest album from El Gordo (German hip hop) recently: http://www.myspace.com/elgordobremen
The feedback was positive throughout, eventhough there is still place to improve it. I asked for some multitracks in order to improve some suboptimal mixing, but there was no time to do this, unfortunately.

I've been doing all of the artists from Bloodhound Gang's label (Jimmy Franks Recording) for the last few years as well as many other local Hip-Hop artists from the Philly area.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll take a look at all of your sites. It's actually for a friend who asked me to mix and master his stuff. I offered to mix it, but I'm clueless when it comes to mastering, so I thought I'd recommend he outsource the mastering. He probably wont, since it's a little pricey (considering he's recording it all himself) but I'll still strongly recommend it.

I think you should send it in to one of those mail-in services that advertises for like a buck per song.

:D

Hahahahahaha. Are your rates on your site (which I'm assuming is in your profile?)
Would you believe I *just* noticed that all our signature files and links are gone? Looking around, I see that it's been that way for some time now... :o

Dude, you really need to visit other forums once in awhile! Dragon promised the return of sigs ages ago, and still hasn't delivered.

Fortunately, you still can give your homepage link in the profile, at least.
