headphones are fine for little bits of detailed listening, cutting & pasting etc. but tey don't really do the job for mixing.
I occasionally mix with headphones if i'm upstairs & the missus is asleep etc BUT I hold onto that mix & check/correct it with monitors as soon as possble.
I suppose someone who was mixing for MP3 players & earbuds could get away with them though.
