Okay so the headphones I were going to buy when I got the money have mysteriously dissapeared off the internet?!???
So any suggestions? Budget is £70 max.
Grado Prestige SR60's or SR80's should be somewhere around there.
Assuming you want "more accurate" (well, as far as headphones are concerned anyway) as opposed to "more isolation" -- If you're looking for the latter, I pretty much hate most of them and don't use any of them enough to know what's hot at the moment.
actually I should have stated that, I do want good quality but good isolation is also quite important for when I record drums. What is the isolation like on them?
On the Grado's? Almost non-existent. And I'm not the guy to ask about those... You normally get your choice of "isolation" or "decent sound" but rarely anything in between. I'd look for "durable" more than anything else if isolation is on the menu. Don't know if "MoreMe" phones are still around, but very popular for the duty.

Guess I'm a bit late, but if anyone else is interested,... . The Sennheiser HD280-Pro set has been a reliable workhorse. Flat as a table with great isolation and extreme range, they're also quite rugged. And the parts most vulnerable to wear (earpads, cord) are easily replaceable. You can usually find them about $99 US. The main drawback to them is they can get a bit heavy after long use. But my ears get fatigued before that anyway.
