This might sound cheap, but.... Are there any good headphones for around $20 or even under that price. I have a pair of wireless but I don't they would do well for recording because of the chance of interference. (Actually I already tried it and couldn't get the things tuned in right.)

I got a good deal online for new headphones about a year ago. Phillips HB615. They sounded ok, but broke already. The bracket that holds the can against your noggin snapped. So now I'm using my Sony MDR-7506 cans that are 5 years old and cost about 3 times as much.

Bottom line: the Phillips were cheap AND a waste of money.

Thanks eh91311

Hey, thanks for the response on the headphone. It does look like it might fit the bill for me. Also thanks even more for directing me to that website. Looks like it will be a helpful site to find some other equipment and stuff like that.

Mr. C, no problem. Hope you like them. Sony 7506's they're not, but they sound a heck of a lot better than others in their price range. BSW is a decent online store, good prices, very prompt service and they ship quickly.
I found the Sennheisers from a review in TapeOp magazine, you should check out their website and message board: www.tapeop.com - free subscription, good articles on recording and gear reviews that you can trust.

 Yo Mr. C of CC rider:

Well, uhh, duh, man, you can always use two tin cans and string?

Good cans cost a few bucks; so, you can listen to whatever cans you want if you can get what you want on what you are wanting.

Hey, that sounds like an old English teacher!

But, you do need to spend a few pezzutos on cans which are remarkably, remarkably priced.
