Hi Guys,

First post here.

I am looking to create a good, recording setup at home on a budget. I use a Mac/logic setup and I am using a M-Audio Fast Track USB interface.

I am in the market for a good condenser mic ideally suited to recording acoustic guitar. I have heard a lot of good things about the Rode NT1a and also the Rode Nt5? Does anyone have any advice or recommendations for other mics - remembering I am on a budget($200 or more like £150 Uk)? Or from what I hear they are almost industry standard in this price range?

Anyone have a similar setup and offer some experience or advice?

Many Thanks,

Charlie

For acoustic guitars I'm kind of fond of AT4033's.
