My 8 track has all harsh reverbs. Is there a cheap unit out there that I can control all the aspects of the reverb? Or better yet, a cheap Mac application...

Thanks!

Yo Roberto:

I was just looking at the latest MF catalog and they had several FX units with reasonable prices.

From actual experience, I have the Lexicon 100 which has some nice patches. I also have the Midiverb 3 By Alesis which is more expensive but has very good patches and is programmable -- you can tweak the patches and save them in user slots.

Most of the time I just use the FX on my 2816 -- it is very good.

So, if you shop around, you can find some reasonable prices. It would be better to try one or two out if you can find a vendor. Or, you might even try to rent one and see if it meets with your expectations.

I have a Lexicon MPX200 for sale right now at e-bay with a starting bid asking price of $199. Nice verbs/mint condition.
They sell new for about $300.
