i do love smilies...
hey there,

i got my Godlyke power supply today in the post, and i'm using it to power 5 pedals. it works great! except when i have both of my distortion pedals (a Boss DS-1 and Digitech 'Bad Monkey' Tube Overdrive, which are both at the very start of the signal chain), i get this really loud hum. it only occurs when they are both on - if it's just one or the other, then there's no problem at all.

any ideas what i could do to defeat this problem? i'm not too worried, because i only tend to have both on at very loud points in songs, and when i'm playing, it's not noticeable. but still, if i could make it go away, then i will :P

any thoughts? ta!

Andy

Not sure on a solution for you, but I just ordered one yesterday for myself. When I get it, I'll check it out and see if I can offer any advice then.

This is probably not the kind of answer you want, but I had one of those things a few years back and I always had terrible noise with it. It drove me crazy. I ditched it and got one of those Dunlop power bricks and I've had no noise since.
It was always worse for me when using more than one pedal, but I did that alot so it was unacceptable. If the noise is no big deal for you then maybe you can live with it.

yeah, i'm probably just going to live with it. the cost/no use of batteries/constant supply/can leave everything set up factors outweigh the noise. i do have a compressor with a gate that i could try and use. its a 19" rack piece though, which seems like quite a lot to carry around. maybe i'll get a smaller pedal or something that can do the same job. i like pedals :D hehe

thanks for the help,

Andy
