Hi,

I just got a new Yamaha GO46 and I'm connecting my TD20 to the GO46 via the line inputs and the GO46 attaches to my laptop via firewire. All the drivers are installed and the mixer comes up fine. The drums sound fine and Cubase and Reaper see the inputs fine. My problem is that when I hit record monitor on a track, I get crackly noises in my headphones when I play. If I go into the mixer software and set the routing of both analog ins to analog outs and then I'm only hearing the sound coming directly from the drums and not from the recording software. But, this means I can't hear any playback without changing the routing back to 'digital mixer'. I've tried everything I know and it still crackles. By the way, it doesn't record the crackly stuff--- just comes out in the monitor.

Any ideas or am I not providing enough info?

Thanks,
