I have a frustrating issue at the moment with Cubase LE. I got it recently with my purchase of a PreSonus Firebox. I've taken a few recording classes using Cubase, so I'm pretty comfortable using the software (and swiftly recognizing its limitations), but the main issue I'm hitting is that no matter what I try to do, I can't get the Drum Map to come up on the MIDI Key Editor.
I've set up a MIDI track, sent the output to the lm-7 that comes with LE, changed the Drum Map to GM Map, even changed the channel to 10. It always comes up with the Key Editor instead of the Drum Editor. This is a pain and a half, because one of my favorite elements of Cubase is how easy the Drum Editor is to use.
Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Is there some essential step I'm missing? This is getting frustrating.
