Glass / Glass Suppliers

Hey all,

I was just wondering if there are any good sites or businesses I should contact in order to find glass. I'm just looking to ballpark a price, basically.

I'm looking for a couple panes of glass for an opening 64" by 36".

Also, I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with glass they'd like to share. What would you recommend?

go local- shipping can be expensive, glass can break during shipping (duh) and most glass shops will install for you (so you dont have to try and lift a huge piece of glass into a frame and drop it- youll probably want tempered or laminate- do a search, thers been discussions about that- Id start with the local yellow pages

It depends on what kind of glass you want. Laminated 1/4" glass is about $10.00 per sqare foot. Its goes up dramatically for 3/8" Laminate. I ended up with Unlamianted sheet 1/4" piece 50" by 20" was $40.00 and 3/8" 50" by 20" was $95.00.
I did my own with no problems because the glass installer wasn't familiar with how studio windows go in( the angle thing gets them everytime). I hope this helps a little.
